Summer Solstice

Maureen Bush

Updated: Jan 21, 2022

It’s the longest day of the year, and we’ve been only partially aware of how long the light lingers in the evening, because it’s been so overcast. Wet, rainy, drippy, torrential. Cloud and water in all forms.

Now, on the solstice, it’s sunny and warm, the garden is lush (although a few plants are looking pale). More rain forecast for later, of course, but right now we have sun. For a lovely long day.
